400 euros / car WHAT YOU WILL SEE: Following an hour and a half trip est from Prague, you will be arriving at Kutná Hora, a town rich in architecture, that was built during the Middle-Ages right over a vast field of silver ore. Over time, the town became the second most important after Prague thanks to the coin production that stood as a symbol of the power and wealth of the Czech kings and of the Czech Kingdom. A walk through the historical center of the town will soon reveal why it was included on the UNESCO list of world heritage. The inside of the Sainte-Barbe (the miners' patron saint) Cathedral deserves without a doubt to be considered one of the best samples of Gothic architecture in the whole of Bohemia. You will also visit the church, the mint, and the mint where the “Gros” of Prague and the Slovenian “Tolar” were produced. The trip will also provide the opportunity to discover the unexpected cubist heritage. |
